Charles Roland Scoggins, II, 68, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Charles was born in Lockhart, Texas, on November 20, 1956, and grew up in Corpus Christi, until his family moved to Fort Worth in 1970. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1974 and served as a Military Police in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, from 1974 to 1976. Charlie loved the ocean, surfing, scuba diving, fishing, and spent many years living in Florida, the Virgin Islands, and Portland, Texas. He was a contractor by trade and built homes in a variety of places. Surviving family members include Ann Katherine Allen, his fiancé, his mother, Bobbie Scoggins, his Corpus Christi mother, Sue Thompson, his sisters Cynthia Butler and Kelly Scoggins, his brother John Scoggins and his wife, Jocelyn, many cousins, a host of nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Bonnie. Charlie kept his sense of humor until the end of his earthly life and his family and friends will miss him until we see him again. A memorial service will be held on August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 3900 Longvue Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76126, and a light lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
