Donald Jay Martin

Mr. Donald Jay Martin, age 69, a resident of Mercedes, Texas, died on June 2, 2025. He was born in Ray, North Dakota, on October 1, 1955, to parents Denzil Jefferson Martin and Alice Rose Martin. The family lived in Williston, North Dakota and later moved to Alice, Texas.

Jay was a man with a strong, independent spirit who always lived his life on his own terms. He is survived by his daughter Courtney Steward, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Frank Martin, Sr., and survived by his siblings, D.O. Martin, Ronny Martin, Pamela Martin Lonsbury, and Michael Martin, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jay is loved and will be remembered and deeply missed by all.
