Jose Arnoldo “Nono” Morin, age 77, of Ingleside, TX, passed away on June 5, 2026.
Anyone who knew Nono knows he did everything his own way, and his passing was no
exception—he went on his own terms, peaceful and complete after his last goodbye.
Nono was born on January 22, 1949, in Benavides, TX, to Ramiro and Aminta Morin.
He graduated from Alice High School by the skin of his teeth and couldn't wait to
leave and join the Marines. He served from 1967-1971.
He was known for his ability to make people laugh even in the darkest times, his
strength and dignity in the face of adversity, his deep love for God, his family, friends,
pets, and his sense of adventure.
Nono is survived by his ex-wife, and true love, Emma Wanagel; their daughter Emily
Morin (Joshua Teague); their grandsons Jesse Martinez, Jr. and Christopher Teague;
and his brothers, Ramiro Morin Jr. (Lucy), Joel Morin (Tamara), Lito Morin (Bill); and his
sisters, Lorraine Rechterman, Rosemary Morin, Diana Morin, and Edna Hornsby; and
his found family members Tammy Roper and Gracie Martinez; and his puppies Nubie
and Aimee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramiro and Aminta Morin, niece
Pamela Lynn Morin, and ex-wife, Toma Morin.
A special thank you to his sisters for their unwavering support, devotion, and care. The
family is profoundly grateful for the companionship and strength they provided him until
the very end. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to Enhabit Hospice for
their compassionate care.
If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever
