Obituary

Juan Jose “Juanjo” Hernandez, 62, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 18, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of his family.

Juanjo was born on August 18, 1964, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Manuel and Esthela Duran. He was a hardworking man who dedicated much of his life to industrial and construction work. Through his hard work, determination, and strength, he always made sure his family had what they needed.

Juanjo was known for his outgoing personality, his sense of humor, and the way he could make people laugh. He was a man who never hesitated to help someone in need. He was the kind of person who would take something of his own and give it to someone else if it meant helping them have what they needed or giving them a better chance at a successful life. His generosity was one of the greatest reflections of his heart.

He found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved music and dancing, spending time with animals, watching old Mexican movies, and most of all, being surrounded by his family. His laughter, stories, and presence brought warmth to those around him, and the memories he created with his loved ones will forever be treasured.

Juanjo was a devoted husband to his wife of 41 years, Juanita Hernandez. Together, they built a life and a family filled with love, strength, and countless memories.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Hernandez; his children, Juan José and his wife Jessica, Víctor Alonzo and his wife Karly, and Esthela; his eight grandchildren; his three sisters and three brothers; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Juanjo leaves behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, generosity, and unconditional love. He taught his family that success is not only about what you have, but about what you are willing to give to help someone else succeed. His greatest gift was his heart, and the love he gave so freely will continue through his children, grandchildren, and everyone whose life he touched.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in every song, every dance, every family gathering, every old Mexican movie, and in the hearts of the people he loved.

He gave so much of himself to others. Now, his family will carry his love with them forever.

Rest peacefully, Juanjo. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and never be forgotten.
