Odem

On February 23,1993 at 11:42 PM the world got Justin Tyler Michael Hancock. For those of you that knew him it was hard not to love him from day one.

Justin’s love for people was always apparent. He didn’t go many places without making friends. Even when he was fishing, which he loved to do, he made friends.when he decided to become an electrician he made some really great  friends. To know Justin was to love Justin. His infectious smile. His snicker. His silliness. Always authentically Justin.

In February 2023, he was diagnosed with cancer. Even in his darkest times he remained positive and hopeful. He brought love and joy to all he met during his time in Houston. He was voted as the Mayor of G19 West during his last stay at M.D. Anderson. Justin spread his sense of humor and love to everyone he met.

Justin peacefully passed away at home with his family and fur kids.

Justin is survived by his mother Alegra Spinn (Andrew Rice), father James Hancock, sister Ashley Hancock, aunt Stacy Hancock (John Sanchez), cousins Kayla Boothe and Dylan Boothe as well as countless people that loved him.

His family would like to give a special thank you to Joseph DelFrate, Danny Carpenter, Israel Lopez and Destin Osby. You guys were very special to Justin because you aren’t friends you are family. Also thank you to the IBEW local 278 for your continuous support and to Harbor Hospice for the excellent care you gave Justin.
