Celebrating the Life of Kristen John Givens September 11, 1965 – September 25, 2026Kristen John Givens, 61, passed away on September 25, 2026 peacefully in her home after a brief battle with melanoma. Though her time was cut far too short, she leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, unforgettable memories, and a family and circle of friends who will forever carry her spirit with them .Kristen was a woman who lived with zest for life. Vivacious, outspoken, strong-willed, and full of personality, she had a way of making her presence known. She was fun, social, nurturing, and deeply caring, with a heart that loved fiercely and a spirit that was unmistakably her own. She embraced life on her own terms, and those who knew her will remember her vibrant personality, her warmth, and the energy she brought into a room. Kristen found happiness in the things that made life feel full: family, the beach, music, cooking, traveling around Texas, and spending time with her fiancé, Jeff. She loved being social, sharing good times, and enjoying life’s adventures. Kristen had a way of making ordinary moments feel special. Kristen is survived by her children, Matthew Alan Givens, 42; Karla Jean Dusseau, 39; and Katelyn Julianne Givens, 35; and her beloved grandchildren, John David Dusseau, 7, and Henry Patrick Dusseau, 5. She is also survived by her siblings, Kimberly Rae Keyes, Karen Lee Phillips, John Charles Adams, and Kay Lynette Harford; her nephews, John Oliver Phillips, James Ryan Phillips and his wife, Michelle Elizabeth Phillips, and Kyle Wilman Harris; and her grandniece, Charlotte Mae Phillips. She leaves behind her fiancé, William ‘Jeff’ Moody, her beloved dog, Sophie, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wilman Adams and Barbara Jean Adams, and her brother-in-law John Roy Phillips. Kristen’s absence will be felt in family gatherings, celebrations, everyday conversations, and all the little moments when her loved ones wish they could hear her voice or share one more adventure with her. Kristen lived with spirit, loved deeply, and left an enduring mark on the people fortunate enough to know her. May she be remembered for her zest for life, her caring heart, her unmistakable personality, and the love she leaves behind. She will be forever loved, endlessly missed, and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 11, 2026 from 2 to 4p at The Margarita Garden located in the Water Street Market on the 300 block of N. Chaparral St, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.
