Laura J. Silva, born in Reynosa, Mexico, passed away on September 28, 2025 in Nueces County, Corpus Christi, Texas.

 With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Laura J. Silva, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Laura passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on September 28, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born in Reynosa, Mexico, Laura lived a vibrant and joyful life filled with love, laughter, travel, and her passion for cooking. She had a deep love for her family and friends and found happiness in the little things—especially inviting loved ones to enjoy seafood and oysters. She cherished taking destination vacations, sunbathing, and spending precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Laura’s greatest joy was her family. She was proud to see her children become devoted and loving parents, and she cherished watching the next generation grow. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit of celebration touched everyone who knew her.

 Laura is survived by her loving children, Michelle Lee Ward (spouse Brian Ward), Melissa Lopez-Alverez, Gabriel Peña, Robert Silva. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Selynda Michelle, Alexyss Michelle (spouse Jordan Andrew), Devin Daniel, Matthew Isaac (spouse Karina), Sophia Loren, Sammy Ethan, Amelia Rose, Ayliah Brianna, and Ava Marie. And her adored great-grandchildren: Heavenlee Rose, Cupid J’Amor and Kaisyn’azreal. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Dina M. Perez (spouse Lazaro Perez) and Carmen Owens, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence. 

A memorial service to celebrate Laura’s life will be announced at a later date. Laura lived fully, loved deeply, and left behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and unconditional love. She will remain in our hearts forever.
