Lauren Conrad Hutchins

Lauren Conrad "Hutch" Hutchins, 75, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026. He was

born on January 9, 1951, in Bunkie, Louisiana, to Hugh Hutchins and Vivian Hutchins.

He was the eldest of three children and the family's only son.

Hutch attended Bunkie High School before continuing his education at Louisiana State

University. His studies were interrupted when he was drafted into the United States

Army, where he proudly served his country. Following his military service, he began his

career as a welder and eventually made his way to Texas.

While living in Houston, Hutch met the love of his life, Shana. After marrying, they

relocated to Corpus Christi, where they raised their children and where Hutch enjoyed a

long and successful career of 38 years with Valero.

Hutch was a man who believed in providing for his family and took great pride in his

work. When he wasn't working, he could most often be found hunting, fishing, or

enjoying time outdoors. He especially enjoyed giving his brother-in-law, Bill, a hard

time—a pastime that brought laughter to countless family gatherings.

He will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family, but also for his signature

camo shirts, his quick wit, and the quirky sayings that always seemed uniquely "Hutch."

His presence filled every room with humor, strength, and authenticity, and he leaves

behind countless memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Hutch is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Shana Hutchins; his sister, Gayle

Shuckrow; his daughters, Lacey Baugh and husband Jeremy Baugh, and Amanda

Shipley and husband Chris Shipley; his son, Travis Hutchins and wife Christina

Hutchins; and his cherished grandchildren, Weston Baugh, Colton Baugh, Annabelle

Hutchins, and his soon-to-be-born grandson, Hugh Hutchins.

He was preceded in death by those who welcomed him into eternal rest.

Though deeply missed, Hutch's legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly,

the values he instilled, and the stories that will continue to be told around hunting

camps, fishing trips, and family gatherings for generations to come.

A memorial service will be held at the Costal Bend State Veterans Cemetery on August 14,2026 at 1:00.
