Linda Sue Smith, born May 25, 1954, in Alice, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 72, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Linda spent most of her adult life near the coast. For many years, she worked for the County of Port Aransas, renting out RV and camping spots. She found joy, peace, and many happy memories at what she lovingly called the “Sunny Beach. ”Linda loved fishing, playing slots at the casino, and never missed a good bargain at a garage sale. Her warmth, humor, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Linda is survived by her four children: Christopher Sens, Eddie Tesch, Daniel Tesch, and Casy Jo Scott (Tesch); her siblings Mary E. Taylor, Leroy E. Smith, Jr., and Patsy Jo Miles; and her grandchildren Andres Christian Sens, Zara Adley Tesch, Skully John Patrick Scott, and Bohdi Steele Scott. She was preceded in death by her siblings Carl R. Smith and Edwin J. Smith

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date. Her ashes will be released and returned to the earth, surrounded by the beauty and coastal spirit she loved so dearly.
