Raymond Gonzales Tanguma

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband, Raymond Gonzales Tanguma, on May 1, 2025 at the age of 82. Born on Nov 25, 1942 in Tahoka, TX. Dad was a devoted family man whose love knew no bounds.

Raymond G. Tanguma was a guiding light in our lives always putting his family first. He had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around him feel special and loved. Whether it was through his warm smile, comforting words, or countless acts of kindness, he entered our lives in immeasurable ways.

A profound fisherman/ hunter Raymond G. Tanguma dedicated his life to providing for his family, often working extra-long hours to ensure that we had everything we needed. His hard work was matched only by his enthusiasm for life, as he cherished moments spent with family and friends. In addition to being a loving father, Raymond G. Tanguma was a jokester, sharing his passion for family, pets, and listening to music with those he loved. He taught us the importance of hard work and family, leaving us with cherished memories that will forever warm our hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Genoveva R. Tanguma, his loving children Sylvia, Daizy, Rocky, Linda, Gabriel, Javier, Gil and siblings, Joe, Edelia, Rene, Nelda, Nora and many nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and Aunt Kena. His legacy of love and devotion will live on in each of us.

A memorial service will be held on May 14 th at Saint Peter Prince of Apostle Church; 3901 Violet Rd Corpus Christi, TX at 9:30am. We invite all that knew him to join us in celebrating his incredible life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Raymond G. Tanguma’s honor, a cause that was close to his heart.

Rest in peace, Dear Dad. You will be deeply missed, but your love will forever remain in our hearts.
