Reynaldo "Ray" Diaz Cantu

Ray D. Cantu, also known as Reynaldo D. Cantu, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2026, in Corpus Christi TX at the age of 86. He was born in 1940 in Corpus Christi, Texas and spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved.

He will be greatly missed by family and loved ones. Ray was a proud husband, father and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was known for sharing inspirational advice and his sense of humor with everyone around him.

He is survived by his long-love of his life, Esperanza Cantu; his children, Nadine A. Cantu, Johnray Cantu, and Michelle Cantu-Cervantes; his grandchildren, Brook Garcia, Johnray Cantu IV, Breanna Lopez, Madeleine Renae Garcia, Jazlyne Rae Cantu, and Jalyssia Rae Cantu; and great-grandchildren, Lilliana Giselle Garcia & Adrian Jay Hernandez Jr.

Ray will be remembered for his love of family, his wisdom, and the laughter he brought to those who knew him. His memory will live forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
