Obituary

In Loving Memory of Rudy Galvan, Sr.

Rudy Galvan Sr. gained his wings and entered the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on June 23, 2026.

Rudy was born on September 2, 1962, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Ruben and Aurora Galvan. Rudy was a kind-hearted soul who lived life with joy, laughter, and a fearless spirit. He had an incredible gift for making people smile and could always find the good in every situation and in everyone he met. He had a contagious laugh, warm smile, and caring heart.

Inspired by his father, Ruben, Rudy developed a lifelong love and passion for music. As a young man he proudly played the guitar and several other instruments and even wrote his own songs. Music was one of the greatest joys of his life, and he loved sharing that passion with those around him.

Rudy was a licensed plumber and spent most of his career as a plumber.

Rudy is preceded in death by his former wife and lifelong friend, Sandra Ayala Galvan, his beloved parents, Ruben Sr. and Aurora Galvan, his brother Robert Galvan, his sister-in-law Mary Jane Galvan, his niece Linda Galvan, his nephew Michael Galvan and his great nephew Dominique Yarbough.

He is survived by his children, Melanie Galvan (Rafael Vega), Valerie Galvan (Robert Villarreal), and Rudy Galvan, Jr. (Cassandra). His cherished grandchildren, Mariah Moreno, Adriana Ramirez, Raelene Vega, Davina Vega, Ariel Villarreal, Rydan Alvarez, Emmery Galvan, Livi Galvan, Juliette Galvan, his brothers, Ruben Galvan Jr. and Randall Galvan (Debra) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Rudy is now at peace. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
